Commissioned by Don Salvatore Fuscaldo for the Chiesa di Sant’Aniello d’Abate, Cosenza, Italy. A digital collage composed of original photographs taken by the artist in Cosenza, combined with images drawn from various archives.
According to the Acts of the Apostles (chapter 10), Saint Peter receives a vision of a vessel filled with animals descending from heaven (Acts 10:11).
“I wanted Visione di Pietro to inspire the community, encourage storytelling, and create a welcoming and beautiful environment in which people could feel proud to gather. Don Salvatore expressed the desire that EVERYONE entering the church should feel welcome. The existing ceiling functioned as a frame for this artwork, allowing it to exist in harmony with the architecture and the sacred works already present. In doing so, the installation brings joy, a sense of the sublime, and honors the spiritual gravity of the altar and its surrounding space.”
